The white weakfish, also known as white seabass or seatrout, is a large predatory saltwater fish found in the Pacific waters off North America. It has a streamlined fusiform body and can grow over 1.6 meters in length, making it a prized game fish. This species hunts actively for squid and other prey in shallow to moderately deep waters.
Where they live
Found in saltwater along the Pacific coast of North America, white weakfish inhabit depths from the surface down to about 120 meters. They frequent coastal areas where their prey is abundant.
