The Trumpet emperor is a predatory reef fish commonly found in small schools. It is known for its selective feeding habits, mainly hunting various small marine animals among coral reefs. Juveniles inhabit shallow seagrass beds before moving to deeper reef areas as they grow.
Where they live
Inhabits coral reefs and adjacent sand and rubble zones from shallow waters around 5 meters to depths of about 30 meters across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, including brackish areas.
