The striped marlin is a large, elongated billfish known for its speed and agility. It is a powerful predator found in open ocean waters, prized as a challenging game fish. This species feeds on a variety of mid-water prey and is recognized by its distinctive striped pattern.

Where they live

Striped marlin inhabit warm, open saltwater regions of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. They are found from surface waters down to about 200 meters depth, preferring the pelagic zone.
