The Sixblotch hind is a secretive saltwater grouper known for inhabiting deep reef walls and caves. It is active both day and night at different depths and commonly associates with cleaner shrimp. This predator primarily feeds on smaller fish and crustaceans.
Where they live
Found on rich coastal and outer reefs in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, often along deep walls and caves with abundant invertebrate growth. Active nocturnally in shallow waters and during the day in deeper areas down to 150 meters.
