The Silver eye, also known as Japanese beardfish, is a small predatory fish found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. It has a streamlined body adapted for hunting in sandy or muddy sea floors. This species is known for its active hunting of crustaceans and smaller fish.

Where they live

Found in sandy or muddy areas of the southern Japanese and East China seas, ranging at depths between 160 and 628 meters.
