How to catch Sea lamprey
Petromyzon marinus

The sea lamprey is a jawless fish with an eel-like body that spends much of its adult life in the sea before migrating to freshwater to spawn. It is a parasitic predator using its sucker mouth to feed on other fish. After spawning in freshwater, adults typically die.
Where they live
Found in freshwater, brackish, and saltwater from shallow coastal areas down to great depths, this species migrates between the sea and rivers primarily in the North Atlantic regions including North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
