The sawtooth barracuda is a sleek, elongated predator found mainly around current-swept reefs and lagoons. It often forms large schools during the day and is nocturnally active, hunting smaller fish. Known as a game fish, it can grow up to 90 cm long.
Where they live
Inhabits shallow to moderate depths (3-20 m) near lagoon and seaward reefs in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Also found in bays and turbid inner lagoons.
