The Rougheye rockfish is a saltwater predator known for its elongated body and distinctive black-tipped fins. It can grow quite large and inhabits deep waters along the Pacific coast of North America. This species is prized by anglers for its fighting ability and taste.

Where they live

Found in deep Pacific waters off North America, ranging from about 25 to 900 meters deep, often near rocky reefs. Juveniles and adults share overlapping ranges in temperate saltwater.
