The Pacific barrelfish is a deep-bodied saltwater fish often found in the Pacific Ocean. Juveniles drift with seaweed near the surface, while adults inhabit deep waters beyond 100 meters. It feeds primarily by filtering plankton.

Where they live

Juveniles stay near floating seaweed in shallow waters, adults live at depths from 150 to over 1500 meters in the Pacific Ocean.
