The Orangespine unicornfish is a vibrant tropical fish known for its distinct coloration and a prominent forward-pointing spine. It typically forms small groups on coral or rocky reefs and feeds mainly by browsing on algae. Juveniles often mix with other similar-sized surgeonfish in shallow waters.

Found in Pacific and Indian Ocean coral reefs, often on lagoon and seaward reefs from shallow waters down to 90 meters.
