The oceanic manta ray is a giant filter-feeding ray known for its impressive size and gentle nature. It is commonly found near coral reefs and coastal waters, often gliding gracefully through the water. These rays filter plankton and small fishes from the water as their primary diet.

Where they live

Found in warm saltwater regions including the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, oceanic manta rays frequent near-shore waters, coral and rocky reefs, shallow bays, and occasionally deep waters up to 1000 meters.
