Lingcod is a large, elongated saltwater predator known for its voracious appetite and impressive size. It preys on a variety of fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods along the Pacific coast of North America. A popular game fish, it can weigh over 50 kilograms and reach lengths up to 1.5 meters.

Where they live

Found in Pacific coastal waters from shallow areas down to 475 meters depth, primarily around North America. Prefers rocky reefs and benthic habitats where prey is abundant.
