The lemon sole is a saltwater flatfish known for its short, deep body and seasonal feeding habits. It primarily consumes sedentary polychaete worms and is most active from spring through summer. Popular among anglers in the Atlantic, it can grow up to 65 cm and weigh nearly 3 kg.
Where they live
Found in Atlantic saltwater, lemon sole inhabits depths from 10 to 200 meters. It prefers environments where sedentary prey like polychaete worms are abundant, with feeding activity peaking between April and August.
