The Kingklip is a long, eel-like fish found along rocky continental shelves and slopes. It is a predator that hunts various fishes and cephalopods. Juveniles inhabit shallower waters compared to adults, which dwell deeper.
Where they live
Found in rocky areas of continental shelf and upper slope waters from shallow depths around 50m to deep waters up to 500m, primarily off the African Atlantic coast.
