The Indian threadfish is a strong and popular gamefish found in warm ocean waters. Adults form shoals around coral reefs and rocky areas, while juveniles prefer estuaries. They are active predators feeding on small fish, squids, and crustaceans.
Where they live
Found in the Indo-Pacific region in brackish and saltwater habitats. Adults frequent coral reefs, rocky shores, and sandy beaches from shallow waters down to 100 meters. Juveniles inhabit estuaries.
