The great barracuda is a large, elongated predatory fish known for its impressive speed and sharp teeth. It inhabits both brackish and saltwater environments, often near the surface. Highly prized as a game fish, it feeds on smaller fish, cephalopods, and shrimp throughout day and night.
Where they live
Great barracudas are found in brackish and saltwater habitats, ranging from shallow mangroves and sheltered reefs to open seas, mostly near the surface and down to 100 meters deep across Atlantic regions.
