The Gilthead seabream is a popular game fish known for its distinctive golden stripe on the head. It inhabits coastal waters including seagrass beds and sandy bottoms, often within 30 meters but can be found as deep as 150 meters. This species is mainly carnivorous, feeding on small fish, squid, and some algae.
