The Galjoen is a strong and hardy saltwater fish known for its distinctive deep, short body shape. It is a popular game fish prized along African coasts. Galjoen thrive in shallow waters and are known for their tough fight when hooked.

Where they live

Found in shallow coastal waters up to 10 meters deep around Africa, especially in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Prefers rocky reefs and areas with abundant barnacles and marine growth.
