The fringed flounder is a small flatfish found in shallow coastal waters. It has a unique body shape suited for life near the sea floor. It is not typically targeted as a game fish due to its modest size.

Where they live

Found in brackish and saltwater regions of North America, including the Atlantic, Pacific, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. Inhabits waters from the surface down to 100 meters.
