The fourhorn sculpin is a cold-water fish found in coastal and brackish waters of the Northern Hemisphere. It has a distinctive body shape with four horn-like spines on its head. This species prefers shallow to moderately deep habitats and exhibits limited seasonal movements.

Where they live

Found in cold brackish and coastal waters of North America, Europe, and Asia, the fourhorn sculpin can enter coastal rivers and sometimes travel far inland. It lives near the sea bottom from shallow waters down to about 100 meters.
