The Dusky shark is a large predatory species known for its sleek, fusiform body. It inhabits continental shelves and slopes, mostly in marine environments but occasionally in brackish waters. This shark is valued as a challenging game fish.
Where they live
Found mainly in saltwater along continental shelves and slopes up to 400 meters deep. Occasionally ventures into brackish waters but usually avoids low salinity estuaries. Distributed in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and coastal North America regions.
