The crowned rockcod is a small, fusiform fish found in cold southern ocean waters. It is known as Blackfin notothen and inhabits depths from 20 to nearly 800 meters. This species feeds on various small crustaceans and plankton.

Where they live

Found in cold saltwater regions of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. Inhabits depths ranging from 20 to 793 meters, living primarily in deep and cold marine environments.
