The coral hind is a striking grouper found in coral reefs across the Indo-West Pacific. It forms harems with one dominant male and several females. This fish is a hunter, preying on smaller reef fish and crustaceans.
Where they live
Found in clear waters of outer coral reefs from shallow depths down to 150 meters in the Indo-Pacific region. Prefers exposed reef areas rather than sheltered zones.
