How to catch Bayad
Bagrus bajad

The Bayad, also known as Black Nile catfish or Silver catfish, is a prized freshwater game fish in Africa. It grows up to 112 cm long and can weigh as much as 12.5 kg. This predator feeds mostly on insects, fish, crustaceans, and plant material depending on its size.
Where they live
Bayad inhabits freshwater lakes and rivers across Africa, often found down to depths of 60 meters. It prefers diverse habitats where juveniles feed on detritus and small prey, while adults hunt larger aquatic animals.
