The Barrelfish is a deep-water species found mainly along continental slopes. Juveniles often gather near floating debris close to shore during warmer months. It is a predatory fish feeding on a variety of small marine animals.
Where they live
Found in deep saltwater over continental slopes in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Gulf of Mexico regions. Juveniles occur near surface layers and coastal docks in summer and autumn.
