Dissostichus mawsoni

The Antarctic toothfish is a large predatory fish native to cold Southern Ocean waters. Known for its robust size, it can grow up to 2 meters long and weigh as much as 80 kilograms. It plays a key role in its ecosystem, hunting various smaller fish and squid species.
Where they live
Found in cold, deep waters of the Southern Ocean around Antarctica, ranging from the surface down to 2200 meters depth. Present in parts of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans near Antarctic regions.
