The Alaska plaice is a bottom-dwelling flatfish found in Pacific saltwaters. It has a short, deep body and grows up to 87 cm long. These fish feed primarily on small invertebrates hidden in the sediment.
Where they live
Lives in saltwater Pacific regions from shallow waters down to 600 meters. Prefers benthic habitats on the seafloor where it hunts for prey.
