The African sicklefish is a short, deep-bodied fish found in coastal waters of Africa. It feeds on fish eggs, small invertebrates, and phytoplankton. Although not a typical game fish, it inhabits shallow to moderately deep waters.
Where they live
Found in brackish and saltwater along the African Atlantic coast, typically between 10 and 75 meters deep. Prefers coastal and estuarine environments.
